A Community for Every Computing Student

NACOS is the umbrella body for students studying Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, and all IT-related courses in Nigeria.

From a new chapter in 2020 to national podium finishes, here is how far our members have come.

NACOS Founded

The Nigeria Association of Computing Students was established as the umbrella body for computing students across Nigeria.

1993

FPB Chapter Inaugurated

The NACOS chapter at Federal Polytechnic Bali was formally inaugurated, giving Computer Science students their own association.

2020

2nd Place — National Programming Contest

Our NACOS team finished second at the National Programming Contest, competing against 80+ polytechnics across Nigeria.

2026

Annual Tech Fair & Innovation Expo

The chapter organises its annual Tech Fair, where members present their projects to staff, students and guests.

How to Join NACOS

Four simple steps and you are part of the chapter.

Be a Student

You must be a registered student of the Department of Computer Science at Federal Polytechnic Bali.

Register

Fill the membership form at the NACOS office, or send your details to the chapter email.

Pay Dues

Pay the annual membership dues of ₦2,000 to the Financial Secretary and collect your receipt.

Get Your Card

Receive your NACOS membership card and join the class group to start attending activities.

What is NACOS?

NACOS stands for the Nigeria Association of Computing Students. It is the national association for computing students, and our chapter brings together Computer Science students at Federal Polytechnic Bali.

Who can join the chapter?

Every registered student of the Department of Computer Science, whether in ND or HND, full-time or part-time, can become a member.

Do I need to be a great programmer to join?

Not at all. Many of our members started with no coding experience. The clubs and mentors are there to help you learn at your own pace.

Does NACOS help with SIWES and jobs?

Yes. Through talks, industry visits and mentorship, we help members prepare for SIWES placements and connect with employers.
